The Erasmus Mundus Master Course is implemented by a consortium of three higher education institutions from three different countries.
It is based on a joint curriculum, common administrative and financial management procedures, and a common service offer to all students.
As far as DIGICREA is concerned, the study program involves a compulsory period of mobility in at least two countries of the Consortium, at least one of which must be a program country and different from the student's country of residence. In this regard, it is recalled that students from partner countries who have carried out their main activity (studies, work, etc.) for more than 12 months in total during the last five years in one of the program countries will be considered as candidates from the program countries according to the 12-month rule.
Mobility cannot be replaced by "distance learning", otherwise the grant for mobility will be withdrawn.
DIGICREA brings together a consortium of 3 partner universities to provide pedagogical training. These 3 European higher education institutions are full partners of this training: the Jean Monnet University of Saint-Etienne (in Saint-Etienne, France), the Universidade Catolica Portuguesa of Porto (in Porto, Portugal), and the University of Silesia - Katowice (in Katowice, Poland).
The Jean Monnet University (UJM) is in Saint-Etienne, the 2nd largest city in the Region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and welcomes 20,000 students including 2,500 foreign students. Saint-Etienne is ranked one of France's best cities in which to live and study.
Research at UJM is at the highest level of excellence with 24 research units (17 mixed units with CNRS or INSERM) and the participation to 11 research federations with other universities.
UJM has strong international partnerships, with 350 agreements worldewide.
The university offers attractive postgraduate programmes, including research-based training programmes with MSc/PhD degrees in themed doctoral schools (6 joint Erasmus Mundus Masters courses and 12 master's programmes taught entirely in English).
